"BOSS OF BOOKS"
Mrs. Grabski

1) What is your job????  Librarian and Media(computers, filmstrips, etc...)

2) What parts of your job do you like or dislike???? When new books come in. It's like Christmas. I don't like when the computers crash.

3) What is your name???? Mrs. G

4) What do you do in your spare time???? Read at home, play baseball with 2 sons and bake (cookies, cake)

5) Will you continue your job???? Yes.

6) Do you have any pets? (What is it?) Russian Blue Cat, gray with blue eyes.

7) When you were a kid, did you want to be what you are today???? ( If no, what did you want to be?)  Nurse or a teacher. But I'm close to a teacher.

8) How long have you been doing this job????  Since 1974. 24 years.

9) What is your favorite food/sports/season????  Ice Cream. Baseball. Summer. Favorite movie is Sound of Music, and anything with Winnie the Pooh and Tigger.

10) How many members are in your family????  4 people. Me, my husband and my 2 sons.

11) Did anything exciting ever happen to you during your job????  In another building, someone broke in and knocked over bookshelves and the card shelves.

13) Do you play a sport????   Not anymore. I play golf sometimes.

14) What can we do to make your job easier????  Just turn in your books.

2. What is your job here? We are the cooks.

3. How long have you worked as a cook? T: 5 years L: 8 years M: 13 years

4. Do you like your job as a cook? Yes!!!!!

5. Do you like cats or dogs better?  T: dogs  L: dogs  M: cats and dogs

6. What is your favorite lunch to eat?  T: taco  L: nachos and tacos   M: nachos

7. What is the easiest meal to cook?   T: pizza   L: chicken stuff  M: spaghetti

8. What was your hardest time in your career? When we had to send meals to P.J.'s by 9:50.

9. Do you like to do the dishes? T: yes  L: no  M: yes

10. What do you like to do in your spare time?  T: clean  L: experiment in cooking.   M: bake different things

11. Did you ever find bugs in the food?   Yes, we found worms in the spaghetti noodles.  We also find a lot of flies.

12. How long do you work each day?  T: 8:00am- 2:00pm  L: 6:30am- 2:00pm   M: 6:30am-2:00pm

13. How can we help you to make your job easier?   You should clean all the tray's before you stack,  and do not put gum under your tray.

1. What is your name ?  Mrs. Hyer

2. What is your job ?  Office assistant. I greet the public, give medication to children, and take care of the sick children.

3. Do you like your job ? What are some parts you like/dislike?  I really like my job. The children are the very best part.

4. What do you do in your spare time ? I read and walk. I just love cooking.

5. Do you think you will continue your job ?  Yes.

6. Do you have any pets? What kind?  We have a family dog named Honey. She is an English Setter. We have had her for 10 years.

7. What job did you want to have as a child/6th grader? I wanted to be a banker. I liked banking in "Monopoly."

8. How long have you been an office assistant?  About 10 years.

9. What is your favorite food?  Italian. Probably pasta.

10. Do you have a favorite sport?  Basketball

11. How many people are in your family? Seven. I have five children; they range in age from 18 year old twins to a 25 year old.

 

 


Mrs. Van Den Heuvel

1.)What is your name?   My name is Mrs. Van Den Heuvel.

 2.) What do you do in your spare time?  I spend time with my family and we go to our cottage, and I also like to read.

 3.) What is your career?  I'm a teacher who teaches kids how to speak and to learn, and how to understand better.

 4.) Do you think you will continue your job?  Yes, because I really enjoy it.

5.) How many years have you been working at your job?  I've been working at this job for a long 20 years now.

 6.) What was your best and worst time at work?  My best times at work is when I'm working with the children, and the worst times are when I have to do paper work.

7.) What was your child hood dream?   My childhood dream was to be a teacher or an engineer.

8)What is your favorite food, sport, movie star, and singer?  My favorite food is shrimp scampi; sport, skiing; movie star (actor), Robert Redford ,(actress) Catherine Hepbern; singer, Phil Collins and he sings soft rock.

9.) How many members do you have in your family?  Four: me, my husband, my daughter, and my son.

10.) Do you have a pet? Yes I do, I have a golden retriever, and her name is Kelsy.

 

 


 Mrs. Kranski

Luke: What is exactly your job? 

Mrs. Kranski: I supervise children on the playground, and I type notes up on the computer that go home with the students. I also help in the office by administering medicine or help any kids that come in because they were hurt on the playground, or sick.

Luke: You sometimes work in the lunchroom, too?

Mrs. Kranski: Yes, but not everyday. Before I used to work everyday in the lunchroom, but now I substitute when some ones sick. Sometimes I answer phones in the office. I order things for the teachers. Those are some of the main things I do.

Luke: Do you like your job?

Mrs. Kranski: Yes I do. I like working with the fifth and sixth grade students. You can talk to them; they are very funny sometimes and have good stories to tell. I enjoy working with the different kids. I also enjoy the computer work; it’s very interesting. All the people here are nice to work with.

Luke: How did you get into this job?

Mrs. Kranski: I used to work at a daycare, as a daycare teacher. I worked their eight hours a day. This job I can do part time, and I’d rather work part time. I work just six and a half hours a day now. I prefer the part time work because I have two small children at home.

Luke: Do you like kids?

Mrs. Kranski: O yes, I have two at home, I enjoy kids very much. I have one that is going to be two and one that’s going to be five in one week!

Luke: Two boys? Two girls? A boy and a girl?

Mrs. Kranski: I have Zachary, he is a boy obviously, and he’s going to be five at the end of this month. And Tanya, my little girl is going to be 2 in December.

Luke: Do you have any hobbies?

Mrs. Kranski: I like to cross country ski, sometimes I play volleyball, I like to play volleyball in the sand. I go to water aerobics sometimes, too.

Luke: What is your favorite food?

Mrs. Kranski: Anything chocolate! Chocolate cake, fudge.

Luke: Do you like pizza? Anything more "mealish"?

Mrs. Kranski: Lasagna, Italian food.

Luke: Do you have any pets?

Mrs. Kranski: No I don’t, but we are thinking of getting a dog for my son. Maybe next spring, if he can handle it and take care of it himself!

Luke: Well I guess that’s all, Thanks!

Mrs. Kranski: Thank you.

 


Mr. Gary Tanko

1. What is your job? Golf Course Superintendent.

2. What parts of your job do you like/dislike?  Likes watching things grow and being outdoors.  Dislikes dealing with weather concerns that affect conditions of   the golf course that are not under his control.

3. What might you do in your spare time?  He likes to enjoy the outdoors, exercise, bike, and hunt.

4. Will you continue this job?  Yes.

5. Do you have a pet? What is it?  Yes. He has a cat named, Toby, and he had goldfish.

6. What was your childhood dream? He wanted to be a professional athlete.

7. How long have you been doing this job?  He has been doing this job for 18 years.

8. What is your favorite food?  He likes to eat a lot Healthy foods.

9. How many members are in your family?  He has five members in his family.

3. What do you do in your spare time?  I like running, snow skiing, water skiing and spending time with my family.

1. Do you think you will keep on teaching at Washington School?   I think so.

2. What parts of your job do you like or dislike?  I like it when the students learn something new (the ah ha experience.)

3. How many years have you been here? 14 years.

4. What is your favorite instrument?  All of them.

5. What is your favorite show to watch?   Any thing on PBS.

2. Do you like your job as custodian?  Yes!!!!

4. How long did you worked as a custodian?  I worked at Washington School for 5 years, and 15 years at a different school.

5. What school did you like the best?  Washington is the best school.

6. What is your Yuckiest time in your career as a custodian?  When kids throw up and I have to clean it up.

7. What do you do on your free time at work? I like to get caught up on paper work.

8. What can we do to make your lob easier? After school pick up your pencils and books.
