Cadets!!!!!!!
by Brian

As we’ve told you in previous articles, you know we have a Cadet Squad. Well, actually, we have two of them. We have a Cadet Corp. We have two co-captains; and your reading one or their work right now!

Well, the Cadet Corp is doing something special. Every year we have a day when all the cadets from all the Stevens Point Area Schools meet and are awarded prizes. A trophy is awarded to the school that is the safest school. We haven’t won it in awhile so we’re trying something new.

We are drawing and coloring posters to promote it. Cadets on duty are supposed to write the name of a usually misbehaving kid down if they are being good and then turn the card in. We can’t write down the name of a cadet. At the end of every week, a drawing is held and an announcement is made for the people who won.

That was all I got out of the meeting so I guess I’ll stop here. Hey, cruise around, we started updating again so you might find something new if you look hard enough.

Testing!!!!!!
by Brian

It’s that time of year again. Yes, the time when you have to take test after test after test. We began our ITBS (Iowa Test of Basic Skills) last week. Reading, Spelling and Math are some of the topics included. Another test is for our entry to our Jr. High School. It is a long, grueling, math test, with page after page of incomprehensible problems. Everyone in the sixth grade must take it.

We are also taking several tests I do not know the names of them so I will exclude them at this time. I will also exclude the schedule of testing because some math classes didn’t do it at the same time. It would only be helpful to our class anyway. But since I feel I must include them somehow, I will say this: We take tests in the morning Thursdays and Fridays and in the afternoon for Math on the same days.

Well, I have a feeling some of you might have stopped reading by now so I’ll stop soon. Feel free to participate in our poll at the end of this article, but read the article first.

I have a short joke now that has nothing to do with testing

what-so-ever.

Q: Why did Dorothy get lost in Oz?

A: Because she had three men giving her directions!

Are any of you poor souls experiencing these grueling, mind-numbing, heart-stopping, head-hurting tests too? Please, tell us. We won’t be able to help you with these tests, but it will help our poll!
