P.J. Jacobs Facility Needs
P.J. Jacobs Junior High School was constructed in 1936, and was this community's high
school for many years. Windows were replaced in 1984, and an elevator was added in
1990. A three story addition with basement was completed in 1995, which added
classrooms, a cafeteria and music rooms. While improvements have been made, the
Facilities Needs Committee has determined the following additional items are needed:
- Additional office
space is needed for a police liaison.
- Additional storage space is needed for the science department.
- The lab area for the living skills classroom is very congested and doesn't function
well.
- The exterior entrance door from the parking lot is not identifiable and does not inform
visitors how to get to the main office.
