Suddenly You turn Around And....
You Are In The Rain Forest

by

Believe it or not, this happened to me once, and I will tell you about it.  Suddenly I turned around and I was in the rain forest!   I didn't see any animals because they were hiding from me.  I started to look around.  I saw a sloth and a capybara.  The sloth had a long way to go and it was moving very slow.  The little capybara looked like a cute guinea pig.  Then right in front of me was a little village!  I started to walk forward, but I didn't get far because right then I walked into a trap!  The village people must had heard the trap go off because they came running.  Of course you knew I was scared, I mean I was freaked!  They took me to a BIG kettle where then I knew I was toast.  The village people were lowering me down when I heard a faint voice.  In the distance you could see a man, running!  When he reached me he winked then started talking to the people.  They spoke South American language.  Finally, they took me out of the trap.  The man said his name was Topiki.  He showed me around the rain forest.   You could tell Topiki was an expert.  After a while we ate lunch.  For appetizers we had salad.  We couldn't find lettuce, so we used clean buttress roots.   For our main course, we had fried paca.  I decided then that I would be a vegetarian.  Then we went swimming!  There were big vines that we swung from.   We stayed for five hours.  It was almost time to go so Topiki took me to the grand finale!  The canopy!!!   Hundreds and hundreds of birds!  I couldn't thank Topiki enough!  This was one of the best days of my life. So it goes to show you what friends can do for you.

The END
