 I.                     Introductions were  made.

II.                   Motion to approve minutes by Bill H., seconded by    RP   .      Passed

III.                 Balance  in checking account  $3,050.23    Motion made to approve treasurer’s report by               BH       seconded by   JP    Passed

IV.              Correspondence:  received application for insurance through PTA.   Motion made by Bill H.,   to purchase general liability insurance for $85.00.   seconded by    JP    Passed

 VII.               Agenda for the general membership meeting with PTO Council was set. 

VIII.         Our members have already voted to support the referendum.  Our organization can go on record as an advocate encouraging people to vote yes on the school referendum.   If any group of  people spend more than $25 to influence a referendum, they must register with the state as a Political Group.   The PTA  handbook  states that a PTA can contribute to a referendum group.  The Board will recommend  that up to  $1,000 of the PTSA budget be available for contribution to the Yes For Better Schools to support the referendum.
