THE IMPACT OF W-2
ON
CHILD CARE, EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION, AND   FAMILIES
IN PORTAGE COUNTY, WI.

 

Date: Thursday, 4/22/99 8.00 - 3.30 p.m

Place: Laird Room, University Center, University of WIsconsin - Stevens  Point

Purpose: This Forum is aimed at examining the impact of W-2 on families,  providers, business community, child care, and community agencies. The   Forum will provide an opportunity to:

i. Identify the strengths, potentials, and gains of W-2 in Portage County

ii. Identify areas of challenge, losses and failure

iii. Educate participants about the specifics of W-2

iv. Formulate policy recommendations to enhance the implementation of W-2

 

To do these, there will be breakout sessions - Education, Child Care  Providers, Community Agencies, Business, Students to explore pertinent issues.
