Music
By: Hannah and BIPS

In music we are playing a game called Stone Pounding. You sit in a circle.  Everyone has a stone in front of him.  Everybody moves their right hand to the stone and passes it to the next person moving their hands to the beat.  You try to get around the circle once without messing up.

Orchestra

The fourth graders are playing instruments in orchestra. They got to try three instruments, violin, viola, and cello. Then they picked which instrument they wanted to learn to play. Two people play viola, two people cello, and four people play violin. Don't forget your instrument on Tuesday!

Chorus
by Emily

Lately in chorus we've been singing songs like ''Round About Autumn'', and two or more part songs (more than two usually meant there was a part for the piano.) In chorus we have two concerts a year, one on Dec. 14th, and the other one on May 9th. If we earn enough money from a bake sale, we will go to Sweet Treats in Stevens Point, which is a great place for great treats. Chorus is fun and is for 4th, 5th, and 6th graders and anyone in those grades can be in it. Our chorus teacher's name is Mrs. Higgins, and she's pretty nice. If I were to grade chorus, I would give it an A, because it is really, extremely, fun. Hope you can make it to our winter concert. Bye!

Music
by: Jennifer

Hi! My name is Jennifer. Here are some songs we learned in music class:

1. Way Down Yonder in The Brickyard

Way down yonder in the brickyard, remember me

Way down yonder in the brickyard, remember me.

Oh, step it step it step it down, remember me,

Oh, step it step it step it down, remember me.

Oh, swing your lady, turn her around, remember me,

Oh, swing your lady, turn her around, remember me.

2. Fed My Horse

Fed my horse in a poplar trough,

fed my horse in a poplar trough,

fed my horse in a poplar trough,

then she caught a whoopin' cough.

coy malindo kilko kilko coy malindo

kilko me, coy malindo kilko kilko

coy malindo kilko me.

3. Hi! Ho! the Rattlin' Bog

Hi! Ho! The rattlin' bog and the bog down in the valley, oh,

Hi! Ho! The rattlin' bog and the bog down in the valley, oh,

Now in this bog there was a tree, a rare tree, a rattlin' tree,

the tree in the bog and the bog down in the valley, oh, ....

(There's a lot more to this song but that's all I have time to type today.)
