Although the school district has re-defined the job descriptions for this position, and although they have asked the principals to submit the names of teachers motivated to fill these positions, only a handful of the principals have seen fit to follow through on this as of November 1, 1999.  The minutes from the September 23 Advisory Committee meeting mention the superintendent having a talk with principals to make sure that only the names of people who are supportive of g/t programming and students be sumitted.  We are waiting to see if this turns out to be what actually happens.  For now, here are names of individuals where principals took the time to forward them.
