Present: Emery Babcock, Santha Bickford, Lynn Holborn, Dorothy Kennedy, Marilyn Lamb, Barb Massoglia, Sandy Moore, Randy Peelen, Donna Schultz-Looker, Kate Wichman

Report of Liaison Position - Donna handed out a job description and indicated that it will take some time for all of these people to be comfortable with their role.  This is due to the fact they will need additional training to be able to answer questions within their building.  She did meet with the elementary principals and discussed the qualifications of the person and the role they would play.  The principals will be choosing their individuals soon.  Dorothy Kennedy volunteered to work with Donna in training for Liaison teachers.

Referrals for G/T Services - Donna shared several handouts and explained the referral procedures, the plan of service, the deadlines and timelines for implementation, the parent nomination forms and role of the school psychologies.  She also reported on how the notification of eligible studens for resource assistance is going this year.  About 80% of the plans of service have been received and Jean Jayedn (g/t resource teacher) has already started serveral of the pull-out groups and will continue to set up assistance as requested and as time allows.

Program Evaluation - Karen Rogers, Professor from St. Thomas, has been contacted and will be sending a proposal to Donna in the next couple of days.  She intends to ream with Dr. Jan Hansen from Purdue.

Emery had the services of an administrative intern over the summer that helped design and send out a survey on the NOVA program.  He is in the porcess of compiling the results.

Staff Development - Carol Tomlinson's name has been suggested as a possible person to bring to the district on an on-going basis to do staff development for "differentiating the curriculum within the regular classroom for g/t students"  She is from the U of Virginia and Dorothy Kennedy indicated she would be an excellent person for this.

Goals & Future Meetings - Donna shared her goals for G/T and asked for additional input.  Lynn Holborn talked about her hopes of developing vertical teams, organized by discipline, that included both junior and senior high staff.
