I [Linda Weitz] wantd to let you know what David Schuler had said in his response to
my email:  "I can assure you no decision will be made in haste."  After
Karen Halverson's review (presented at the schol board meeting last
night,) "we will then begin considering any modifications to the
elementary gifted and talented program (including, but not limited to
NOVA) should be recommended.  That process will take time and must be
based on significant internal and external data along with input from
parents.  Based on that process, a recommendation (which may or may not
include modifications to our existing program based on the
aforementioned process) will be presented to the curriculum, learning,
and student achievement committee for consideration prior to reaching
the school board level.  This process will take several months at the
very least."
